Over 1 million wildebeest flood the Reserve after traveling north from the Serengeti in Tanzania, along with large herds of other herbivores all looking for the best grazing. Closely following the herbivores are the predators, most notably lions and hyenas.

The Masai Mara is a great place for watching big cats, it is where they film the BBC Big Cat Diaries, but it also has an abundance of other wildlife and bird life to see during your stay.
